This year the Junior League’s Tour of Kitchens had a twist. It was an inside and out tour that not only included indoor kitchens, but included gardens and beautiful outdoor kitchen areas. The houses on the tour were amazing. Including Nancy Perry’s pole barn that seats a 100 people for a sit down dinner, the Scorpio’s outdoor eatting area that included a tennis court in the back. There was a house with a Tiki bar, a pool shaped like the state of Florida and a renovated house that was set for demolition that was saved by the Prokopi’s. And did I mention the food. Yummie! There was tastings by Dragon Fly, MT’s Chop House, Blue Highway Pizzeria (which will soon be opening in Tioga Center), Publix and many, many more. If you missed this year’s tour you missed a lot. But don’t worry, it will be back again next year with new houses and restaurant for you to visit.
