Happy Birthday Lily

Lily Fretwell came in right after we got back from our trip for her One Year Old portrait session.  She has changed so much in the year we’ve been photographing her.  But the one thing to never change is that big smile.  She is always happy.  Her parents, both UF grads, have also taught her to cheer when the Gator’s score.  We hope she does a lot of cheering tomorrow.

The Lowery Family

We had a wonderful time with the Lowery Family the day after Christmas.  Joe and his wife Gladys were lucky enough to have their three children, spouses and 6 grandchildren together for Christmas.  The grandchildren were a lot of fun and made for a fun shoot.  We can’t wait for everyone to see all the great pictures.

Daniel & Heather

Daniel and Heather are a blast! They are such a playful, fun couple. We did their engagement session at the stadium, which for some insane reason was locked up tighter than a drum. No biggie, we found even better places outside and around the stadium. We just let them be themselves and we got tons of amazing pictures. At the end we swung by their house to grab a few cute pictures with their pooch! Such a good dog, especially for a treat. We are looking forward to capturing great memories at their wedding in January.

A different kind of street food

In Veitnam most locals will eat at street vendors or stalls. Similar to those in Bangkok the food is very different, much less spicy. Each vendor has a specific speciality such as Pho (a type of soup you add vegetables to), Bun ( a noodle dish) or many other types of dishes. (Way to many to list)

There are many people walking around with baskets or bikes with baskets or stands selling fruit all over the city. There could be two people set up right next to each other selling the exact same thing. On our way to Halong we saw women selling fresh bread, the same fresh bread, standing less than 50 feet apart for miles down the side of the road.

They use everything to cook on. Look at the container the girl is using for grilling the corn. It is a butter cookie tin with charcoal in it. We have seen all different types of grilling sources – from karts with built in grills, to small camping burners, to homemade tin boxes or cookie tins.
