In Veitnam most locals will eat at street vendors or stalls. Similar to those in Bangkok the food is very different, much less spicy. Each vendor has a specific speciality such as Pho (a type of soup you add vegetables to), Bun ( a noodle dish) or many other types of dishes. (Way to many to list)

There are many people walking around with baskets or bikes with baskets or stands selling fruit all over the city. There could be two people set up right next to each other selling the exact same thing. On our way to Halong we saw women selling fresh bread, the same fresh bread, standing less than 50 feet apart for miles down the side of the road.

They use everything to cook on. Look at the container the girl is using for grilling the corn. It is a butter cookie tin with charcoal in it. We have seen all different types of grilling sources – from karts with built in grills, to small camping burners, to homemade tin boxes or cookie tins.
